On Friday June 11th 2010, my favorite ratty girl, CWR Tara, gave birth to 10 babies sired by everybody's favorite ratty boy, the infamous JOY/SITH Bamboo of Small Joys Rattery. After years of focusing on other colors and varieties, we suddenly realized that we had very few blue or blue carrying SITH or JOY rats left, and they were aging fast. After checking with all our other rattery partners, I discovered a beautiful blue blazed berkshire baby available at Curly Whiskers Rattery in Boise Idaho. The problem was, there were very few shows to meet up at during this past year, and Tara was almost 6 months old before we were able to bring her home. During that time, two of my favorite blue carrying boys passed away, and Michelle from Curly Whiskers had grown very attached to Tara. For a while there, I feared she might not be willing to part with Tara, but I finally persuaded her. Once I got to know Tara, I began to understand Michelle's reluctance to let her go. Tara is not just a pretty face, but one of the sweetest rats on the planet! Bamboo, as many of you know, is a renowned ambassador for rat kind, from one of my oldest and most favorite lines. Be it at rat shows, or local rat social events, he is well known for charming everyone he meets. Bamboo was also pretty much our last hope as a blue carrier. These babies, who are already displaying the wonderful qualities of both parents, are sure to be nothing short of amazing! There are no available babies in this litter. We do plan to do a repeat of this breeding in a few months, so if you are interested in being on the waiting list for future babies of this type, please email me.

Ever since the SITH Rattery Twilight Litter with names based on characters from the book "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer, and the movie by the same name, I have been wanting to name a litter after characters found in the rest of the twilight saga, most notably, New Moon and Eclipse - and there are still enough cool names left over for another litter... |
